Township Fire Protection

The Township fire protection services are allocated to three area fire departments. The township has established service contracts with the City of Stoughton, Village of Cottage Grove and the Village of McFarland to provide services to the town of Pleasant Springs. Each of these agencies provides full-time, part-time and volunteer staffing with a state certified Fire Service officers, firefighters and equipment engineers.

The Dane County 9-1-1 center will dispatch the nearest and most readily available fire department to your emergency.

Each of these three fire departments conduct inspections of commercial properties within their respective service areas.

What to do in the event of a fire

The first thing to do is to call 9-1-1.

Then evacuate everyone from the structure or fire area.

Do not re-enter a burning building.
